DCF Newsletter – February 2024

In this newsletter, you will find more information about our community project to prevent violence against children in Pifo. Several people from the Pifo community in Ecuador will share an update on how things have been progressing since December.

We will discuss what a stronger community with even stronger relationships entails and how different community leaders participated in training to reduce violence and foster healthier relationships in neighborhoods. Additionally, we will talk about the possibilities for parents to raise their children with safety and love, including new initiatives to improve the economic position of families, recover safe spaces, and how children took to the streets of Pifo during a street film event. This will all be shared through the testimony of Manuel, a child member of the community, who will also share his vision about the violence still experienced in Ecuador and how a Community Plan can be a tool to combat it.
